PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

Construction

• Aluminum extrusion with steel compression brackets for a rigid metal design
• Compression brackets secure all four metal sides into one enclosure body
• No visible hardware, tabs or plastic components
• Fits most Metalux and Corelite recessed troffer product configurations (See compatibility matrix)
• Designed to fit most emergency, flex, sensor options that are integrated or field installed on luminaire
• Safety strap keeps removable access panel attached to ceiling during maintenance or install
• Accessory kit ships in one compact unit and requires field assembly
  

Finish

• Aluminum housing is finished in high reflectance white using electrostatically applied polyester powder coat paint to ensure maximum rust inhibition
• Compression brackets are made from die formed galvanized steel
  

Compliance

• Can be used in damp locations. See fixture for primary compliance rating.
• Kit does not alter design or construction of luminaire
• UL and cUL recognized accessory for use as field install surface mount kits for luminair
• Use with fittings identified in SMK instruction sheet to meet UL compliance
  

Mounting

• Four mounting points are provided for surface mounting
• 16" x 16" spacing for mounting onto ceiling studs
• Mounting hardware not provided. See minimum or maximum weight requirements for correct hardware size for ceiling/surface mount
• Standard Y-toggle accessory can be used to suspend 2x2 or 2x4 SMK. Must use (2) Y-toggles per SMK. Do not use 1x4 SM
• Power drop cord needed for any suspended mounting installs
• Secure access panel with L-bracket and self-tapping screws (by others) in suspended mount installs
